Someone who is fully rested will not fall asleep in meetings, no matter how boring the meeting is,\u201d said sleep specialist Kristen Knutson, an associate professor of neurology and preventive medicine at Northwestern University\u2019s Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago.    <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph inline-placeholder vossi-paragraph\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cm9dc8547000x3b6ouao1k4fz@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">            \u201cExcessive daytime<strong> <\/strong>sleepiness can impair performance and be an indicator of underlying sleep disorders or other issues,\u201d Knutson said via email. \u201cIf someone is experiencing excessive daytime sleepiness regularly, they should discuss this with their physician.\u201d    <\/p>\n<h2 class=\"subheader inline-placeholder subheader vossi-subheader vossi-subheader--size-h2\" data-editable=\"text\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/subheader\/instances\/cm9dc85jf001g3b6ortb8z1en@published\" data-component-name=\"subheader\" id=\"a-hidden-danger\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">        A hidden danger<\/h2>\n<p class=\"paragraph inline-placeholder vossi-paragraph\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cm9dc8547000y3b6o737f3xqy@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">            The body does odd things when it\u2019s continuously sleepy, including overcoming those yawns and sending signals that you are, in fact, coping with the lack of sleep.
